The Lotus Elan Plus 2 Coupe was produced in the UK by Colin Chapman Lotus Cars from 1967 until 1969 of which 1600 Lotus Elan Plus 2 Coupe was manufactured. These Lotus cars was fitted with a 1600cc twin-cam Lotus/Ford 105bhp Powerplant with dual Stromberg that could accelerate to a top of 118mph. The Lotus Elan Plus 2 Coupe came at a critical time in the Lotus Cars company's history. The Lotus Plus 2 marked the end of self assemble cars moving towards being manufactured of luxury cars.
